• Criminal law
    • The lawyers at Boyce Larsen represented V.C. in a case in a local State Court regarding charges of domestic violence and obtained a dismissal of all of the charges against our client.  Attorney Todd Boyce challenged the State’s evidence, including presenting evidence that a key State’s witness had been convicted of falsely reporting crimes.
    • The lawyers at Boyce Larsen represented T.K. in yet another case in a metro Atlanta court regarding charges of domestic violence and again obtained a dismissal of all the charges pending against our client.  Attorney Todd Boyce again highlighted problems with the State’s case, including filing motions to have the judge dismiss the case on self-defense grounds.
    • The lawyers at Boyce Larsen represented D.M. in a felony case  in DeKalb County involving the trafficking of drugs and garnered yet another dismissal of all the charges against our client.  Attorney Todd Boyce was successful in convincing the District Attorney’s Office that the client, a young hardworking professional, had nothing to do with drugs and our client is back to her normal life.
    • The lawyers at Boyce Larsen represented M.J. in a felony case in DeKalb County involving allegations of felony theft from an employer, where our client was being held in jail without bond.  Attorney Todd Boyce managed to obtain a dismissal and release from jail within 48 hours of being retained to represent the client.  As such, the client was able to be with his family for a major holiday.
    • The lawyers at Boyce Larsen represented J.N. in a DUI case in Gwinnett County and the case was complicated by the fact that the prosecutors wanted serious jail time due to the fact that the client had several prior DUI convictions.  Fortunately for this client, Attorney Todd Boyce tried the case and earned an acquittal for the client of the DUI charge, saving him many, many months in jail.
    • The lawyers at Boyce Larsen represented J.D. in a DUI case in Fulton County and the case was complicated by the fact that DUI charge, if convicted, would have rendered our client a habitual violator resulting in months in jail and years of suspended driving privileges.  Although the client had a previous attorney, attorney Todd Boyce got the case ready for trial and, upon the eve of trial, the State’s case fell apart.  Attorney Todd Boyce earned another dismissal of all of the charges against our client.
    • Todd Larsen was successful in defending a $24,000 theft case, where he got several indictments dismissed before trial.  Todd Larsen also got the dismissals successfully upheld on appeal before the Georgia Court of Appeals. State v. Bair, 303 Ga. App. 183 (2010).
    • Todd Larsen was successful in defending a client accused of felony arson, which resulted in extensive property damage.  Todd Larsen was able to get the client probation, without jail time, as well as first offender treatment, which allows the client to legally state the he has not been convicted of the crime when he applies for employment or admission to educational institutions. 
  • Estate
    • In a Petition to Determine Heirs, Todd Larsen represented the surviving siblings of a brother with several hundred thousand dollars in assets.  The administrator of the estate was an unwed mother who claimed a son of hers was the sole heir of the deceased.  Through DNA evidence and witness testimony, Todd Larsen was able to prove that the child was not the child of the deceased and that the mother attempted to commit acts of fraud against the estate and the Federal government, which resulted in the removal of the administrator and the denial of inheritance for the child.
    • In a Petition for Year’s Support, Todd Larsen represented the surviving spouse of an estate that had $40,000 in assets, but $100,000 in debts and other liabilities.  At the hearing, Todd Larsen was able to have the probate court award my client over $33,000 in cash and property ahead of all other creditors of her husband’s estate to help pay for her support and living expenses, which was awarded free and clear of her husband’s debts.
  • Trust and Tax Planning
    • Todd Larsen crafted trust and tax planning for a same-sex couple, one of whom held over $3 million in a Canadian Trust.  By understanding the tax laws of the United States and Canada, Todd Larsen was able to compile an estate plan that saved the clients several hundred thousand dollars in US estate and Canadian transfer taxes.
    • Todd Larsen developed a family trust and estate plan for two grandparents who were once political refugees, and now US citizens with assets totaling several million dollars.  Todd Larsen drafted trust documents that ensured that their property would go to support their children and grandchildren, keeping their assets within their family.
  • Workers’ Compensation cases
    • In representing a nursing assistant who worked for a large corporation of nursing homes, the attorneys at Boyce Larsen sought wage loss and medical benefits regarding a clear injury to our client’s knee and back.  Despite the insurance company’s denial of the claim and stonewalling of the client before being represented by the attorneys at Boyce Larsen, attorney Todd Boyce sued the insurance company and successfully secured a confidential six-figure settlement for the client.
    • The attorneys at Boyce Larsen represented a bus driver of a local school who, prior to his accident, had already undergone both neck and lower back surgeries in his past.  The client was being afforded less than 50% of the benefits he was entitled to and, after significant litigation in which the insurance company paid the attorneys of Boyce Larsen thousands of dollars for its’ unreasonable defense, attorney Todd Boyce successfully secured a confidential six-figure settlement and special medical fund for the client.
    • After the insurance company wrongfully refused to provide wage and medical benefits to the client, the insurance company offered the client, a long-time welder, 2% of actual value to settle his case.   The client felt that was wrong and called the attorneys of Boyce Larsen.   After attorney Todd Boyce litigated the issues of wage loss benefits and a neurosurgery recommendation, the insurance company paid the client wage loss benefits and ultimately the client had neck surgery.  After the client recovered, attorney Todd Boyce obtained a confidential six-figure settlement for the client.
    • The attorneys of Boyce Larsen began represented an electrician’s helper because he was robbed at gunpoint and beaten about the head and neck while on the job.  Despite the insurance company doing nothing to help the client in the three months before he came to the attorneys at Boyce Larsen for help, attorney Todd Boyce was quickly able to convince the insurance company of their wrongdoing and get the client’s wage loss benefits started.  Later the client underwent neck surgery, months and months worth of mental health treatment and attorney Todd Boyce was able to secure another confidential six-figure settlement.
